Sweet!

Bry will be home tomorrow! It will be great to have him back and move in October. The downside is that the company commander now views Bry as a quitter. It is not that he is a quitter at all. Nobody was sleeping well due to the stress of the entire situation, the FSTE was denied twice already, why waste time and have it be slammed down again? Plus he did not want to risk deploying from here, moving, and deploying right after the move. They were trying to say that it wouldn’t happen that way, but I have known that to happen to several people, I’m not going to trust the fluff they were trying to shove our way, neither was Bry. I told Bry to just take whatever they throw at him when he gets back to show that he is not a quitter. He’s worried that all this will keep him from the board next month. Who knows. I’m prayin’ though.

*hugs*

So I talked to PJ and got a couple answers for you.. in his case, when a couple soldiers FSTE got denied for them to deploy with 1AD in 2007 it was because branch wants or needs you elsewhere and that’s what the priority is. So if he is understanding it correctly, priority isnt him staying in Germany to deploy but to go on to where ever he has orders because for some reason it’s a bigger priority than the deployment and they want Bryan that other place more.

He also said if it has been denied twice already branch probably wouldn’t ok it a third time.

So, again, his opinion in what he has had experiencce with, but I just read it to him and was like “oh, i get it now, this is why Bryan isnt deploying” he was like “oh yeah, that makes sense, branch must need him somewhere else more”.

I’m glad to hear that he is coming home. It would suck for him to go down twice in a row which of course could happen. That unit is just screwed up I think. I hope he can still make it to board.

Yes, he is home now! Thanks Jackie for the info. That’s kinda what I thought was going on anyway. Plus, soon as he signed his re-enlistment, he was on orders to Ft. Bliss because we had choice of station. That is what they made it seem like was the main reason for the denials anway. And I agree, if it got denied twice, it would probably get denied again. It seems like everyone wants to waste tiem to get things done.

Tracey, 2nd is so much worse that 1st. We find out today what is going on with Bry, like how soon he gets to go back to 1st.
