In the life of me.

Let’s Play Crazy Eights

November 13, 2007 · 3 Comments

Thank you David for the tag. I’m hitting this one while the wee one is zonked out. When I first got tagged I thought back to when I was in elementary school. My bus driver would always play Crazy 8’s with us while we waited for the bus to move so we could get home. Sorry, just had to share a memory.

8 things I’m passionate about:

My son, just over a year ago I never thought that I would have a baby of my own.
My husband, he is my rock. Bry keeps me sane when I’m about to lose it.
My family, though far away and they sometimes drive me batty, I love them still and have to call them all at least once a week. I feel guilty if I don’t.
My friends, they are scattered all over the world these days but I love them all and miss them dearly. To me, they are my adopted brothers and sisters.
Music, I have to have music playing at some point in the day. I love to sing!
Family time, no matter how busy a day is or how terrible it’s been, it’s always nice to have a family snuggle/play time to make it all better
Showers, there’s something about being a mommy that makes you love showers all the more!
My fur babies, I LOVE my kitties no matter how they annoy me in the middle of the night (taking my spot in bed and refusing to move when I return to bed after breastfeeding John).

8 things I want to do before I die:

Visit Japan
Take Bryan on a cruise around Europe
Go to Cairo
Have another child
Skydive
Get back to the weight I was in college…40 more pounds to go!
Re-learn how to draw. It’s frustrating when I have an idea for a character for DnD, but I can’t draw it out.
Live to see my future grandchildren and great grandchildren]

8 things I say often:

“Hey John!”
“I love you!”
“Yep, he’s squishy.”
“Goobers!”
“Hunter!”
“Cinnamon!” (Hunter and Cinnamon are our kitties, sometimes they like to misbehave in the middle of the night and I have to do a whispered yell to them.
“What do we want for dinner tonight?” This said while looking at the menu I plan out for every week.

8 books I’ve read recently:

Tread Softly
Voyage of the Mourning Dawn
Flight of the Dying Sun
Fight Club
Lost
The Bible
What to Expect the First Year (learning to toss a good portion of the info there out the window)
Various children’s books for John

8 songs I could listen to over and over:

“Hotel California” by The Eagles
“Desperado” by The Eagles
“Open Arms” by Journey
Just about anything from My Chemical Romance
“God Bless The Broken Road” by The Rascal Flats (the ONLY country song I really love and will tollerate)
Space Ghost Coast to Coast, gives me the giggles every time I hear it.
“If I could Talk to the Animals”, it’s John’s mobile above his changing table, it makes him smile, so it makes me smile. :)
Various songs from Jewel

8 things that attract me to my best friends:

Sense of humor
Intelligence
Openness
Common interests
Caring
The ability to understand.
Old memories
And the ability to create new memories

8 people I think should do Crazy Eights:

Eatsbugs
Indesicive Peach
Lissa
Tracy
Jackie
Becca
Um, and two random visitors to my blog cuz I don’t have that many people on my blogroll!

*hugs*

Hehe, your fur babies. Well you have a kid and you also have a husband, so that eliminates you from contention of being the “Weird Cat Lady”…. hehe.

This is going to sound crazy but I totally want to get a mobile for my room! Those things are awesome, and I could stare at the more interesting ones for hours o.0 I know, weird right.

You should take a picture of johns mobile the next time you take some photos! purty please!

Thanks for playing along with the Crazy 8s. We love Space Ghost and especially Brak, so much we have the Brak Show CD :)
