It’s time for Friday’s Feast already?

How many pieces of jewelry do you wear most days?
Technically one if I can remember to wear it. Since the heat has come in and swelling comes with pregnancy, my wedding ring has moved to a necklace which I refuse to wear at night. Some days I forget to put it back on.
Soup
What is your favorite instrumental song?
Well, right now I have an instrumental piece from The Lion King stuck in my head.
Salad
Who has a last name that you like?
It’s not one I particularly like, but I saw it on a guy’s uniform the other day, Snork.
Main Course
Name a popular movie you’ve never seen.
Ok, you want one or an entire list? I’m quite movie deprived. Dogma is one of them.

Fill in the blank: Nothing makes me ___________ like ____________.
Nothing makes me smile like the Cheshire Cat. C’mon now, I just can’t get my smile to reach my ears like that.
***Sorry to my loyal commenters. I have been so busy and I have not commented back to you all.***
Yes, she is still alive!
I know, I am a slacker at this blogging thing. Most times I do sit around and ponder various things but I fail to write them down. That, and I’ve been busy with the bone marrow drive thing that my friend, Eva, and I are doing. Within the week we should be a-ok to set a date for it. We had a TV and radio stint done last Friday…so damn nervous I spelled my name wrong. J-e-n-n-f…crap, spelled it wrong. Jennifer not Jennfer! I have no clue why I was so nervous. This promotion was only going to the local public, not like it was going all over the world.
What else has been going on with me? Well, John is starting to feel like he’s getting cramped space inside of me. When he turns over and such you can see my belly shift shapes. He favors my left side and it will buldge more on that side and the right side slopes down gently. No perfectly round, preggo tummy here. This kid likes to keep me off balance. Oh and what did I spot last Wednesday? Stretch marks…on my belly!!! I wanted to cry. I sound so vain there, but I prided myself in only having two on either side of my hips. Now I have four purple lines creeping from the bottom of my belly. I hope they stay small and I hope they go away. Oh yes, did I mention I have stretch marks on my left calf? Which is strange. Some think it’s due to all the charlie horses I’ve been getting in that leg.
We’re still working out the kinks with the whole car accident. Tomorrow we go to the legal office to get forensics to investigate the accident. Yay for us. Our neighbor, who is an MP, is very pissed that they didn’t take a report from me at all. He said the whole thing was handled badly and that the report that my hubby filled out was wrong. Gotta love that.
Ok, I told C this was going to be a short one. I wasn’t even intending on an update on my life for this either. All I wanted to do was state how amusing it was to see Hunter, my fat ass cat, actually move around yesterday.
You see, my mother gave me this plastic toy fish that Sassy (the kitty of mine at her house) hates. It’s a wind up toy that swims in the water. I have yet to place it in a tub to watch it go though. For the longest time Hunter hated the fish. That was until he remembered that we have awesome hard wood floors to slide on and sling toys across (which would be why most of their toys are stuck under the couches and entertainment center…fling!). Yesterday he had an energy spurt, rare, very very rare for him, and went after the fish. He was having a blasted hay day with this thing. I decided to help him out a bit and slide it across the floor with my foot. It zinged into the bathroom and WHOOSH, there goes Hunter, butt sliding across the floor, over the carpet runner and into the bathroom after the toy. Thank goodness for fur or he would have gotten rug burn! It was an amusing sight to see, if only I would have put my digital camera to use, I’d have a video of it for you all to see. It was just the perfect ending for a rather dull day. Hey, and it kept him sleeping on the bed the whole night, he was too tired to pick on Cinnamon after that.

Name a funny habit you have.
This may seem gross, but I love popping the zits on my husband’s back. That’s my bad and odd habit. I do give him a back scratch afterwards to say, “sorry” for the pain hehe. Since being married, I’ve learned other wives torture their hubbies the same way.
Soup
If you could instantly know how to play a musical instrument, which one would you pick?
Bass Guitar. I love the heavy sound of it.
Salad
How long is your hair?
Ok, let me take it down from the nightly pony tail. Alright, once again, it sits right between the shoulder blades. My hair grows like a field of weeds! Granted, this pregnancy thing helps with that, I suppose. Since being preggo, I’ve lobbed it off twice and it still grows back about twice as fast!
Main Course
When was the last time you forgave someone, and who was it?
I believe it was yesterday, it was the hubby. I get pissed at him for stupid stuff now, yay hormones and I end up snapping at something silly he does and then I forgive him for it and he forgives me for being psycho.
Dessert
What is your favorite kitchen appliance?
I LOVE my oven because I LOVE to cook. I get to use my mixer and oven today cuz I’m making cookies!
Amish Bushel and Oatmeal Rasin. I’m doing ‘em cuz of the AFN TV interview about the bone marrow drive a friend and I are organizing. *pokes all of you reading this* Go to your Red Cross, ask to get swabbed to be on the registry. Let them tell you if you CAN or CAN’T be on the list. Don’t make lil’ pansy excuses, trust me, heard ‘em all and I’ve blown a good deal of the myths out of the water. I’ll have to blog on that when I’m a lil’ less busy and not covered in flour.
Leukemia strikes again.
Now there are two little girls in my husband’s old unit with the disease. Here is more info on the first child we know of. The other one was recently diagnosed, within the past week.
These words were written by Briarra’s mother, Angel, as she sat with her five year old daughter at Walter Reed medical center:
“Briarra Niquole Manis, born January 3, 2002, is as unique as her name. She brightens up the darkest room with just a smile. Her laughter and the twinkle in her eyes soften the hardest of hearts.
At the ripe old age of five, she has shown more strength than many 25 year olds. She is, and has always been, a child that wants to do everything on her own. She is adventurous, which scares the day lights out of me, and loving. She makes new friends everywhere she goes but does not dismiss her old ones. That in itself is spectacular.
There is also another side of her. As adventurous and outgoing as she is, she does get scared. Knowing that her Mommy and Daddy are there, not to mention her “rainbow monkey and blanket”, she feels safe and secure. I always hear her say, “I can do it”! And I know that whatever life throws at her she will be able to handle it and overcome. God is with her and she knows it.”
May 11, 2007 Briarra was diagnosed with Mature B Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL), a fast-growing cancer of the white blood cells by German doctors in the Mainz University Clinic.
May 12, 2007 Military doctors in Landstuhl, Germany confirmed her diagnosis and flew Briarra and her mother to Walter Reed Medical Center were, once again, she was tested her for Leukemia on Mothers Day, May 13, 2007.
May 15, 2007 Briarra underwent surgery to receive a Broviac Divice which is a long term, tunneled catheter placed into a vein to her heart. It is used for patients that require frequent blood tests and medications. Amazingly, Briarra does not fear her new extensions, she playfully calls the silicon tubing that protrudes from her chest, “Tubies” and is active in helping the nurses clean them. She plays with them when she has the chance.
James, her father, explained what Leukemia is to his daughter. He said she understands that she is very, very sick. Leukemia has become a new word for Briarra and her entire family. James’ oldest son, Marlowe, asked, “Are you sure this isn’t like a divorce thing?” James admitted that this experience has been as educational as it is frightening, but the more he understands about his daughter’s illness, the more accepting he and his family are of what has happened to the youngest member in their family.
For the next nine to twelve months Briarra will be an in-patient at Walter Reed for one week and then have three weeks of home care. By the sound of it and the twinkle in her father’s eye when he talks about Briarra’s bravery, that as long as she still can have her “Dunky” Donuts and McDonald’s Chicken Nuggets, this cheerleading, karate chopping, pink puppy loving, soon to be Kindergartener isn’t going to let a funny sounding thing like Leukemia slow her down.
Everyone here in Wiesbaden, Germany is so proud of you, Briarra! You go girl and kick this thing in the bottom!

Appetizer
Fill in the blank: The best thing about where I live is _________________…
the scenery, wine, beer, and chocolate. I know, I know, the last three everyone says about Germany, but it’s TRUE! And speaking of beer, I only use German beer when I cook my chili. That I am dishing up for DnD day.
Ok, ok, I love the walkplatz’ in every city too. There are entertainers around every corner, it makes window shopping a lot more interesting.

Oblivion and I must say, I rather enjoy that game.

If you were to receive a superlative award today beginning with the words ”Most likely to…”, what would the rest of the phrase say?
I have two options because they fit me well right now:
1. Most likely to get stuck in the couch while trying to get up.
2. Most likely to double over in pain from hitting her knees on the rather pokey coffee table. (Trust me, my right knee is purple cuz of this…dang mad dashes to the potty!)

I’m loving to pair up a pale yellow with an olive green.

Do you shop online? If so, name some sites you like to browse for goodies.
Yes! Amazon.com. I just did a load of baby shopping there the past two days because we still need some stuff. I can get a stroller shipped by them but not a bottle rack. How much sense does that make?

Fill in the blank: I think ___________ should be ___________.
I think water should be free.
VROOM VROOM!!!!
I got awakened from my nap today with rather good news! Our new car is able to be taken off the lot. We weren’t expecting this today after finding out that the car section of AMSTO (the people that deal with customs and the like) was closed today. The paperwork just came in so in about an hour we’ll be drivin’ our nice Tango Red Pearl ‘07 Honda Civic EX home! No more depending on others for rides! Oh I love it! I’ll take my camera to the dealership and shoot some pics of our Ruby (I think that’s the name we agreed on for the car) and get ‘em up here.
It’s been hell not having a car for two weeks.

Baby John Update!!! Pics included!
Today I had an appointment and discovered that John is already head down and facing my back, prime position for delivery. Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that delivery day is coming any time soon. It’s typical for babies to get in that position between 6 and 7 months, which is what I’m at right now. He also weighs 2 pounds, typically, they way 1.5 pounds at this point. The doc still feels he’ll be 6-8 pounds. I am feeling differently about that.
Here are the lovely shots we got of him. Mind you, the profile shot was difficult to get since he is facing my back. His spine is right up against the front of my belly, just to the left of my belly button.

Name something you think is “the best.”
I’d have to say the kicks my son gives me in my tummy. Most of the time I giggle from them.

Hehe…and combined from the rest of the week…9.5 Who knew buying a new car would be this stressful? *points to previous blog*

What kind of cleanser do you use to wash your face?
*grimmace* Mary Kay. I was suckered into it, quite literally. I fed off the emotions of all my girlfriends and most of us signed on. Once I realised that I was never going to make money off of it, I dropped it. I’m in inactive status. Have I noticed a difference between their cleanser and any other cleanser? No, my face is just screwed when it comes to break outs.
